Sustainability

Quality, safety andenvironmental sustainability are core values of our corporate culture. Our production policy has always paid special attention to the use of“eco-sustainable” materials and processes along all stages of printing, production and packaging.

The growing environmental awareness of our customers has strengthened our awareness and guided us toward a more sustainable production approach. In particular, we use conventional inks from the graphic arts industry that minimize the use of mineral oils, instead favoring vegetable oils from renewable sources. In addition, we use eco-friendly paper from responsibly managed forests.

Being sustainable, first and foremost, are our factories. In particular, we have installed two heat recovery units on the ovens of our rotary presses, which use heat from the chimneys to heat water up to 90°C.

During the winter, hot water is used to heat the two plants, while during the summer, it is sent to a heat absorber and an evaporative tower, which cool it down to about 8°C. This water is then used for cooling rotary machine motors and for air conditioning in the departments.

In addition, all our refrigeration units adopt the “free cooling” technique. During the winter period, they initially take advantage of the outside air temperature to cool the water, activating only when necessary. This system reduces electricity consumption and recovers heat that would otherwise be lost to the environment.

The Costa di Mezzate office is equipped with electric vehicle charging stations, in line with our policy toward sustainable mobility and reduced emissions. Added to this is our commitment to the exclusive use of energy from 100% renewable sources to power our plants, ensuring environmentally friendly production. We are constantly striving to improve our production processes and infrastructure, investing in increasingly innovative and sustainable solutions to ensure an environmentally friendly future.
